  1. 1. Eat small meals 5-6 times a day. The number of times you need to eat might excite you but do not rejoice yet since you have to eat small meals. Eating controlled meals will help prevent you from eating too much or binging. It also helps your metabolism to keep on working as it burns fats at a constant rate.

  1. 2. Do not skip breakfast. As we all know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We need to supply our body with food since we sleep for hours during the night. If you skip breakfast then for sure you will be craving for food and will then lead to over eating. When the body is in ‘starvation mode’ metabolism slows down in order to save energy and burns less calories. Heavy breakfast is the best breakfast according to most dietitians. Make sure to include fruits, vegetables, protein and fiber in your meal.

  1. 3. Drink lots of water. This is common knowledge. We all need to drink lots of water, no excuses. Drinking plenty of water does a lot of wonder to our body, it dissolves vitamins and minerals needed for the body to absorb and segregates body waste. Once the body is dehydrated, the liver will not function properly and the burning of fats won’t be as effective.

  1. 4. Perform exercises efficiently. While you are losing weight through eating properly and hydrating yourself, make sure to integrate exercise in your daily routine. Perform exercises that target the belly area such as abdominal exercises. There are different kinds of abdominal exercises such as crunches. Using exercise equipments such as exercise ball also helps tighten up that belly. Though, make sure to not overdo it, perform exercises moderately and with care.

  1. 5. Get plenty of sleep. Less than 7-8 hours of sleep will leave you feeling tired and sleepy the whole day. According to studies, people who lack sleep has slower metabolism and does not eat healthy. Since you feel tired, you just opt to buy ready-made or fast foods and after eating you go straight to bed leaving your body less time to digest properly what you ate.
